"Bright purple. Intense cherry, blueberry and floral pastille scents on the spice-accented nose and in the mouth. Round and fleshy in style, with a spine of juicy acidity providing lift and structure to sweet black and blue fruit and mocha flavors. Closes with gentle grip and very good persistence, the velvety tannins framing the wine's sweet fruit."

"Massive black fruit, and correspondingly large and seriously chewy, dry tannins. This wine needs some substantial food to cope with the latter. Love the finish. Drink now."

"(fermented in stainless steel tanks, followed by 15 months of aging in French oak barrels, 40 percent of them new) Brilliant purple. Highly perfumed dark berry, vanilla and violet scents are complemented by hints of licorice and oak spices. Sweet and seamless on the palate, offering blackberry and blueberry flavors that are lifted and given spine by juicy acidity. In a supple, fruit-driven style, finishing with strong punch, harmonious tannins and excellent, spicy persistence."

"Glass-staining ruby. Highly perfumed black and blue fruit, incense and violet aromas pick up a suggestion of five-spice powder with air. Supple, seamless and concentrated, offering juicy boysenberry and floral pastille flavors and an enlivening jolt of white pepper. The tenacious floral finish is framed by velvety tannins."
