More Info

Beyer Ranch has historically been a premier Livermore Valley location for Zinfandel. The estate vineyards are planted on carefully selected sites on the sloping benches that lead to the bans of the Arroyo del Valle and Arroyo Mocho streams. Grapes from these Zinfandel vineyards produce lustrous wines and deep richness. Each variety was fermented separately in stainless steel fermenters and were pumped over three times daily to maximize extraction of flavours and colours. The wine was aged for 20 months in neutral French and American oak barrels.

"There's a mish-mash of grapes in here alongside the 76% Zin, including Syrah, Barbera, Tempranillo, Malbec and Mourvèdre. It works though, fun and very fruit forward in character, with juicy ripe blueberry and red berry exuberance. It would be hard to find a wine that tastes more like cherry cola than this! It's easy drinking, dry but with sweet fruit, and would be a great pizza wine."

"Fascinating aromas of chapparal and green peppercorns complement ripe, juicy blackberries and dark cherries in this medium- to full-bodied wine, while a silky texture makes it a pleasure to sip."
