Hubert Brochard

Sancerre, Loire, France

Our estate is a beautiful family property whose cellars are located in the heart of the village of Chavignol. We have been growing our own vines for almost 5 generations.

Aimée and Hubert Brochard have first made a significant contribution to the development of the family estate, devoting their whole life to the work of the vines and the quality and reputation of the wines.

Our vineyard is very fragmented and extends over more than 7 municipalities. Intense erosion resulted in more than 15 soil types. We cultivate almost 60 hectares of vines spread on the best slopes of clay, limestone and flint. Our vineyard consists of 45 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc, 15 hectares of Pinot Noir and our vines have an average age of 30 to 50 years.

Their wine making process combines both traditional and modern methods. Every year they renew their material and equipment in order to work under the best conditions and to continuously improve the quality of our wines. They have implemented the HACCP quality and traceability system in order to control every step of the wine making process of our wines from the vineyard to the point of sales and to certify the safety of the products.
